This week on a special episode of the Allegheny Front, we look at the Struggle to Stay in Appalachia. Thousands of coal miners have lost their jobs in Appalachia since 2011. Many of them voted for Donald Trump, in part because he promised to protect their jobs. What will happen to these folks if and when coal mines are no longer needed to power the U.S.? Will they leave their homes in search of other work?
