A new study shows benzene and other hazardous air pollutants are being released by abandoned oil and gas wells, putting people who live near by at risk. Pennsylvania has hundreds of thousands of these wells.
Living near Shell's ethane cracker and East Palestine, one student came to a realization: "I was like, ‘Oh, wait a minute, stuff is actually serious.'"
